Fall Chinook Fishing
Fall Chinook is the main event. This is when the biggest runs of the year hit, with fish averaging 20–30 pounds and some exceeding 50. It's the most action-packed salmon fishing Oregon has to offer.
The fall run builds from August through November, with peak fishing typically in September and October. These are big, powerful fish that put up incredible fights. On a good day, expect consistent hookups and a genuine shot at filling your limit.
We follow the fish — fishing wherever conditions are best on any given day. Whether it's the Columbia, the Willamette, or another stretch of productive water, we go where the bite is.
