Spring Chinook Fishing Guide | In Pursuit! Guide Service
Target the crown jewel of Pacific Northwest salmon — the best-eating fish in the world.
Spring Chinook Fishing
Spring Chinook are widely considered the finest eating salmon in the world. Their rich, fatty flesh and firm texture make them the most prized catch in Oregon — and landing one is an experience you won't forget.
The spring Chinook run typically starts in March and builds through May and into July. These fish are strong, deep fighters that test your tackle and your skill. Average fish run 12–20 pounds, with some pushing well beyond that.
We fish where the fish are — whether that's the Columbia, the Willamette, or wherever conditions are best. We adapt daily to put you on the most productive water available.
